What is the main idea of the essay?


  Berger stated how people look at Art in the past and how some situations influenced people's view of art  at present.


Supporting Ideas :

• According to Berger, during the time of the traditional oil painting, paintings were prized because they were the only way to capture a moment in time and possess it forever until cameras were introduced to people. Pictures in books, postcards/posters or even in advertisements and merchandise are now widely appreciated by people.
• The typical female nude paintings before seems demure unlike today, that women and sex are thoroughly used in advertisements.
• The different views of art had changed through time because of the rampant effects that technology and social change has brought the society and to it's people.
• Publicity seems immeasurable that's why the views of art differ from one another. The use of advertisements is the best example of this.
